Today’s Inspired Stories…

For years participating in the gathering of food for our Church’s food pantry as well as food baskets at my church has given me such a feeling of need.

So in honor of Deb’s 50th birthday, I’d love for her to help a family or organization of her choice with the enclosed supermarket gift card   - Tina Deer

On a recent trip to the DMV I encountered a lovely woman who was disabled due to MS. She was there to put her daughters name on her vehicle’s title.  She was stressing out because of the paperwork involved.  She was saying that she would never be able to finish them before her number was called.

Now I have done them so many times before, I volunteered to assist her.  I worked on her forms until my number was called and then I went back to her when my business was finished.

She was so grateful for something that we take for granted.  I felt blessed to be placed there at that time (for security reasons alone I’m happy it was me as she entrusted me with a lot of personal information – placed in the wrong hands it could be a terrible situation for her.

I find that God puts us where we should be all the time.  Even when we  least expect it,  an event as small as this can brighten not only mine but another’s outlook on humanity.  -   Ann Marie Jones

Debbie for several weeks now we’ve been discussing your inspired wishes.  We’ve had many opportunities to talk to friends, family and co-workers about your party and inspired gift wish list, our faith, our Christianity as well as the gospel message in these conversations over and over again.

Every one begins with a curiosity about what inspired you.  Then they think well how hard can it be to do?  Then they start to realize the awesomeness of the plan.

We’ve contemplated, planned and considered and ultimately knew that the best way we could honor you was through Prodigal House and a donation has been made to Prodigal House in honor of your birthday.

You regularly open your home and heart to young people- those you know and love and those you don’t but who somehow find their way to your door.  You smile, encourage and teach through your easy and positive manner.  We felt giving to others as well would best honor you.

This was an awesome idea for a birthday list. We hope you know how much we love you.  Happy Birthday Deb!  With all our love, The Anton Family

Mrs. Ingino -  I have a story that started a while ago but your birthday is now part of my story.  In 2nd grade I started raising money for Little Shelter a non-putdown shelter that has gone through a lot from fires to running out of food and money.

Even when an animal would need an expensive surgery they did everything they could to help it.  That’s where kind donations come in, I have donated roughly $400 - $500 Dollars maybe even more with the help of family and friends and my school.  Now I am donating my entire summer fund, that’s about $100 or more in your honor.

So Happy Birthday Mrs. Ingino.  Love,   Mariah Anton

We donated money to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of your birthday……..Also while we were at the park feeding the ducks, we came across a grouchy man who we made every attempt to cheer up.  Happy Birthday!  Love Kathleen and Isabelle

So I don’t know you but I came across your website and thought why not.  So as I went to the supermarket the next Saturday and I found myself impatient while in line, I noticed a Mom with a young baby who was clearly having a more difficult time then I was so, in the spirit of Inspired Wishes I offered to let them go in front of me on line.  She was so glad I did that, you could see the relief on her face.  But you know what, doing that actually made ME feel better!  Thanks!!!

Deb A gift of Hope has been given in your honor through Heifer International.  You are such an inspiration to everyone around you for hope, loving kindness and selfless giving.  Please accept this donation to a struggling family through Heifer International in your name.  Merry Christmas  Love Adriana and family

They did a drawing in KIDMO in June at Church At The Movies  for a brand new, bright green mountain bike.   The 6th Grader who won it didn't really need it and it was a boy's bike anyway, so Cassie went home wondering what she should do with it and who she could give it too. Here's the story she emailed:

I found somebody to give the bike to!!
My neighbor has a little boy in kindergarten, and we gave the bike to him. His mom is single, and this is kind of funny. When we went to ask her if he would like it, she was talking to the people who own the house (she lives in an apartment in the basement) about getting him a bike. When we brought the bike over she was so happy! She said her son would flip out.
His birthday is on Saturday, his favorite color is green, and she didn't think she would be able to get him a bike for his birthday, that she would have to wait until after his birthday.
God provides, and I'm glad he picked me to help. = )   ~Cassie
